Services of Process

The Following Services of Process are Available from Teitel Service Bureau, Inc.

Secretary of State

For service on a domestic or foreign corporation qualified to do business in the State of New York:
§306 of the Business Corporation Law
§306 of the Not-for Profit Corporation Law
§303 of the Limited Liability Company Law
§121-109(a) of the Partnership Law (LP’s)
§121-1502 of the Partnership Law (foreign LLP’s)
§121-1505 of the Partnership Law (LLP’s)

All services above require two copies of documents and $40.00 payable to the Secretary of State per defendant.
$15.00 Fee for Routine Service (3-5 days) per defendant
$20.00 Fee for Same Day Service per defendant

For service on a foreign corporation not qualified to do business in the State of New York:
§307 of the Business Corporation Law
§307 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law
§304 of the Limited Liability Company Law
§121-109(b) of the Partnership Law (LP’s)

Send one copy of documents and $40.00 payable to the Secretary of State per defendant.
$15.00 Fee for Routine Service (3-5 days) per defendant
$20.00 Fee for Same Day Service per defendant

For Service under the Vehicle and Traffic Law:
§253 of the Vehicle & Traffic Law for service of a motor vehicle action on a nonresident of New York
§254 of the Vehicle & Traffic Law for service of a motor vehicle action on a New York resident at the time of the
accident, who can no longer be located within New York State (former resident)

Send one copy of documents and $10.00 payable to the Secretary of State
$15.00 Fee for Routine Service (3-5 days) per defendant
$20.00 Fee for Same Day Service per defendant

*Please make checks payable to Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. for all service fees.

Department of Motor Vehicles $20.00

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles requires all subpoenas to be so ordered and needs an original copy.

We will serve your subpoena the same day we receive it.

Attorney General & Court of Claims $75.00

Please send one (1) original and five (5) copies of the claim being served. When advancing fees, please send a separate $50.00 check payable to Court of Claims, plus a single check payable to Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. for the sum total of all fees.

Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. will return a stamped copy from the Attorney General and Court of Claims together with the affidavits of service.

Insurance Department $40.00

Please send one (1) copy of the action for each authorized insurance company being served. When advancing fees, please send a separate $40.00 check made payable to Superintendant of Insurance for each insurance company being served, plus a single check payable to Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. for the sum total of all fees.

New York State Police $50.00

Please send one (1) copy of the action being served. When advancing fees, please send a separate $30.00 check payable to New York State Police for each action being served, plus a single check payable to Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. for the sum total of all fees.

Criminal Justice & Education Department $50.00

Please send one (1) copy of the action being served. When advancing fees, please send a separate check payable to the agency being served for each action plus a single check payable to Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. for the sum total of all fees.

Corporation Service Company $50.00

Please send one (1) copy of the action being served. Corporation Service Company does not require a fee.
